Testing and Future School

Most of the students at The Bethesda Montessori School remain for their kindergarten year. This year is the culmination of all work previously begun.

In May of the kindergarten year, the children are given the Stanford Early School Achievement Test. The results of this test are given to the parents as a guide to their child's performance in relation to other children of the same grade level throughout the country.

Throughout the years, our graduates have applied to and been accepted by the following private schools:

Beauvoir
Sidwell Friends
Maret
The International School
The French School (Lycee Rochambeau)
The German School
Norwood
The Woods Academy
Stone Ridge
The Episcopal School

We hear favorable comments about our graduates from the elementary schools. The children are well prepared academically, and hopefully have acquired the most important goal of their Montessori education - a true love of learning.

Our hope is that each student develops enthusiasm and joy for gaining new knowledge and develops healthy self-esteem.
