Updated Nov 2020 -- We are a licensed child care facility, Montessori School, and Kindergarten Program that is now open for in-person learning five days a week. Child care facilities in the state have been operating successfully since June 19, 2020.
We are now accepting applications for next year, September 2021. Download our application (see button at right), or, email us at to request one. A $75 non-refundable application fee is due when you submit your application to hold your spot on our waiting list.
We are currently conducting individual in-person tours. (We ask you to limit your party to two people, with masks. Time spent inside the building will be limited).
We accept a total of 80 students each year (but are taking only 60 students for the first semester, September through December 2020), and place them in one of 5 multi-age classes. Our lead teachers, all AMI trained (Association Montessori Internationale -- a masters degree program), have been here for a total of over 65 years! The remainder of our staff has been here an average of 20 years (this includes our assistants), so you can expect a wonderful, caring group of instructors, who love children. Full Covid-19 safety precautions available upon request.
Remember, children must turn 3 prior to the first day of school of their year of enrollment and be fully potty trained. You may review tuition rates and required documents for enrollment below. Thank you!

ADMISSIONS

Application Fee (non-refundable): $75
Registration Deposit (non-refundable, applied to total tuition due): $500
* First and second semester tuition amounts reflect the reduction of the $500 deposit.
* Reimbursement policies due to Covid-19 interruptions will be included with your introductory email, prior to enrolling. You may request these policies at any time.
Tuition fees cover the time period from September to June and include all materials, testing and workbooks. Fees subject to change.

$10.00 per hour "Drop In" fee for additional hours -- please contact the school in advance to arrange extra hours. If your child is scheduled for 9-12 for the full school year, they will not be able to stay for lunch only, until 1pm, except in the case of an emergency as our lunch sessions as completely full.

5% per annum processing fee for families who pay their tuition on a monthly basis. NEW -- The first monthly tuition payment, due August 1, will be a double payment, to cover the first and last months tuition for the school year. After August 1's double payment, you will pay one single payment each month, September 1 through April 1.
Required Enrollment Forms
Each year NEW & RETURNING families must submit up-to-date copies of the Health Inventory document, signed by a Maryland Pediatrician, and including the most recent immunization record. To ensure that your child is correctly immunized per Maryland law, please take a copy of the Required Immunizations form, available below, when visiting your pediatrician. Both the Health Inventory and Emergency Contact Form should be submitted to BMS no later than August 1 each year.
Parents Guide to regulated care (required for new parents only)
(required for all children who would like to have medicine administered at school, such as an Epi-Pen, including non-prescription medication. Each medication must be listed on a separate form, and signed by the child's pediatrician.)
Emergency Action Plan - for individual with Anaphalaxis
(required for all children who will store an Epi-Pen at BMS)
