NEW -- We are now accepting applications and scheduling tours for NEW STUDENTS for the 2020-2021 year which is scheduled to begin on September 9, 2020. (Select the 'Download Application' button at right to view and print our application, which is the first step in the enrollment process.)
We conduct tours almost every day, beginning October 1, 2019, Monday thru Friday at 9:30am. An appointment is required -- you may call or email us to make a reservation. We prefer that you tour without your child, if possible.
We accept a total of 80 students each year, and place them in one of 3 multi-age classes. Our lead teachers, all AMI trained (Association Montessori Internationale -- a two year masters degree program), have been here for a total of over 65 years! The remainder of our staff has been here an average of 20 years (this includes our assistants), so you can expect a wonderful, caring group of instructors, who love children.
Remember, children must turn 3 prior to Sept 1 of their year of enrollment and be fully potty trained. You may review tuition rates and required documents for enrollment below. Thank you!

Application Fee (non-refundable): $75
Registration Deposit (non-refundable, applied to total tuition due): $500
* First and second semester tuition amounts reflect the reduction of the $500 deposit.
Tuition fees cover the time period from September to June and include all materials, testing and workbooks. Fees subject to change.
$50.00 art supplies fee.
Activities fees as needed for field trips.
$10.00 per hour "Drop In" fee for additional hours -- please contact the school in advance to arrange extra hours. We are not able to offer a 9-1 option as our lunch periods are completely full. If your child is scheduled for 9-12 for the full school year, they will not be able to stay for lunch only, until 1pm, except in the case of an emergency.
5% per annum processing fee for families who pay their tuition on a monthly basis. Monthly payments are payable in 10 monthly installments beginning August 1 and ending May 1.
Required Enrollment Forms
Each year NEW & RETURNING families must submit up-to-date copies of the Health Inventory document, signed by a Maryland Pediatrician, and including the most recent immunization record. To ensure that your child is correctly immunized per Maryland law, please take a copy of the Required Immunizations form, available below, when visiting your pediatrician. Both the Health Inventory and Emergency Contact Form should be submitted to BMS no later than August 1 each year.
Parents Guide to regulated care (required for new parents only)
(required for all children who would like to have medicine administered at school, such as an Epi-Pen, including non-prescription medication. Each medication must be listed on a separate form, and signed by the child's pediatrician.)
