We are still accepting applications, and scheduling tours for the 2023-2024 school year.  Enrollment offers are being made as of December 1 to siblings of current and former students, and those families who submitted and application early, between 9/122 and 11/15/22.  Download our application (see button at right), or, email us at to request one.  A $75 non-refundable application fee is due when you submit your application.


We are currently conducting individual in-person tours. Tours are by appointment, and are usually held at 9:45am to ensure that visitors can observe our Montessori students at work with the materials.

We accept a total of 80 students each year. Our lead teachers hold either AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) or AMS (American Montessori Society) Master's degrees.  Both degrees require a Bachelor's degree prior to acceptance, and completion of a two year Master's degree program. The remainder of our staff has been here an average of 15 years (this includes our assistants), so you can expect a wonderful, caring group of instructors who love children.  All staff are fully vaccinated and we've operated in person, five days a week, since the beginning of the pandemic.

Remember, children must turn 3 prior to the first day of school of their year of enrollment and be fully potty trained. You may review tuition rates and required documents for enrollment below.  Thank you.

* First and second semester tuition amounts (in red) reflect the reduction of the $500 tuition deposit. 

Tuition fees cover the time period from September to June and include all materials, testing and workbooks, except a $50 ART SUPPLY FEE which will be added to your bill.  Fees subject to change.

Additional Fees:

  1. Activities fees as needed for field trips. 

  2. $15.00 per hour "Drop In" fee for additional hours -- please contact the school in advance to arrange extra hours. 

  3. 5% per annum processing fee for families who pay their tuition on a monthly basis.  THERE ARE ONLY A SMALL NUMBER OF MONTHLY PAYMENT SLOTS AVAILABLE, AND RETURNING STUDENTS HAVE PRIORITY FOR THESE SLOTS.   FOR 2022 -- The first monthly tuition payment, due August 1, will be a double payment, to cover the first and last month's tuition for the school year.  After the August 1st double payment, you will pay one single payment each month, September 1 through April 1.

Each year NEW & RETURNING families must submit up-to-date copies of the Health Inventory document, signed by a Maryland Pediatrician, and including the most recent immunization record (ask your doctor to print and attach your child's immunization/vaccination record).  To ensure that your child is correctly immunized per Maryland law, please take a copy of the Required Immunizations form, available below, when visiting your pediatrician.  Both the Health Inventory and Emergency Contact Form should be submitted to BMS no later than August 1 each year.

(required for all children who would like to have medicine administered at school, such as an Epi-Pen, including non-prescription medication.  Each medication must be listed on a separate form, and signed by the child's pediatrician.)
